Rascal Flatts in San Jose!

On Friday, October 16, 2009 Rascal Flatts is coming to the HP Pavilion in downtown San Jose.
Get ready for this award winning country-pop trio, who have been on the top of the country charts for nearly every album they create. With their youthful tone and catchy songs, anyone who listens can't seem to get them out of their head! This outstanding group has made so many top of the chart songs, but my personal favorite right now has to be "Summer Nights", that was just released on their new album titled "Unstoppable".
Opening for Rascal Flatts is new to the country scene, but amazing none-the-less, Darius Rucker. Formerly a singer for the well known group, Hootie & The Blowfish, Rucker is use to the music industry and definitely knows how to make quality music of any genre! Tickets are scarce, so if you want to go to this awesome event then start looking now!

Brad Paisley @ SHORELINE!

Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, and Jimmy Wayne. Three amazing artists. One night of amazing music!

So if you didn't know already, Brad Paisley had a concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View this past Friday, September 25th, 2009. I was lucky enough to have gone to this exciting concert and cannot put into words what a great show these three artists put on!

Opening up for Paisley, Jimmy Wayne got the crowd going with his catchy songs, one of my favorites being "I Will". Next up was Dierks Bentley, a rising country star who captured the crowd with his deep, sultry voice. His upbeat, and heartfelt songs, really capture audiences of all types, and I can only imagine the phenomenal things he will do for country music in the future!

Once Brad Paisley came on stage the crowed jumped and screamed with excitement. Paisley sang songs from his new album “American Saturday Night”, as well as his older songs. It was definitely a night to remember, because Paisley is such a great entertainer and kept the crowd on their feet the whole time! All I can say is my sister and I had a blast and can't wait for our next concert!

Kanye's SWIFT Blow at Taylor at the VMAs

It was an exciting night for Taylor Swift, as she walked up to accept her award for Female Video of the Year. As millions of people watched on September 13th, Kanye West stormed the stage and stole the mic from a very confused Taylor. "Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but BeyoncĂ© has one of the best videos of all time," Kanye West said. "One of the best videos of all time!" In absolute shock, audience members stood up to applaud Taylor Swift, who stood motionless and at a loss for words. Cutting straight to a commercial, people from all over the world sat in their living rooms completely stunned. How could Kanye West, a supposed role model for our young people, completely and blatantly make a mockery of our beloved Taylor Swift? Who gives him a right to speak his own irrational personal feelings while the people voted and Taylor Swift came out on top?

Others are outraged as well, while fans and peers of Taylor's stormed their Twitter accounts and stood up for their friend:
Pink, “My heart goes out to taylor swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her. Kanye west is the biggest piece of shit on earth. Quote me.”
Lady Antebellum, “WE LOVE YOU TAYLOR SWIFT!”
Diamond Rio, ”Can’t believed what happened to Taylor Swift. Kanye West should be banned from all music events. How disrespectful!”
Since the event, Kanye West has publicly apologized multiple times, but the sincerity of his apologies is up to your own personal interpretation. Hopefully this will be another life lesson for West, and he will learn not to bash talented young artists who actually role model an outstanding individual.
